   JSC "Baltic Coal Terminal" is the most modern specialized coal transshipment terminal in the region of the Baltic States, where the most modern transshipment technologies are used and the terminal meets all the modern environmental requirements. The terminal has been operating in the Port of Ventspils since 2009.

   The specialized coal terminal is one of the largest projects implemented on the territory of the free port of Ventspils with the involvement of private investments. The total investment is about 80 million Euros.

    For the time being, the present transshipment capacity of the terminal is up to 6.0 million tons per year. There is a project of the terminal’s further development, which will raise the transshipment capacity of the terminal up to 10.5 million tons per year.
